How to track whitening results without misleading photos
An honest comparison is more helpful than a dramatic photograph. Keep your records simple and consistent so you can discuss changes without guessing.

Use the same setup
For your own records, choose one camera, a similar distance and the same room. Avoid mixing an outdoor selfie with an indoor close-up. Keep your face position similar and turn off beauty filters or colour effects. These steps improve consistency but do not turn a phone into a measuring device.
Keep the original files
Save the unedited images with the date of your appointment. Do not alter exposure on only one side of a comparison. If you create a side-by-side image, label the dates rather than adding a shade claim you have not had assessed.
Add notes that photos cannot capture
Record which treatment you booked, whether another visit is planned and any questions about your experience. For Premium, keep the first and second appointment notes together. A photo cannot describe comfort, aftercare instructions or the time between visits.
Use the record at a review
Bring your notes when discussing a follow-up or touch-up. A client gallery shows individual experiences; it is not proof that another person will get the same result. Our shade-guide article explains how the on-screen comparison should be used.
