How to read a teeth whitening shade guide
A shade guide gives you a visual language for discussing colour. It is most useful as a conversation aid, not a way to diagnose your smile through a screen.

What the numbers on our guide mean
JayWhite’s interactive guide displays 20 positions, labelled S2 through S40. Adjacent positions increase by two in their labels. Moving from S28 to S20 means four positions to the left, not eight separate teeth on the guide.
Treat the preview as illustrative
The lighter end sits on the left. Selecting a tooth displays illustrative ranges for Triple and Premium, plus a suggested package. The interface does not measure your teeth and the recommendation is not a clinical assessment. Your consultation is the place to discuss the appropriate option.
Keep viewing conditions in mind
A phone in night mode can make an image look different from the same page on a laptop. Room lighting and reflections also affect the comparison. Avoid repeatedly increasing screen brightness to try to find a precise personal match.
Bring a goal, not a required number
You might want a subtle change or simply to understand your options. Explain that goal and ask how the team records a starting shade and reviews the result. Use the guide alongside the treatment inclusions, rather than as the only reason to book.
