Whitening basics
How long does teeth whitening last?
There is no single expiry date for a whitening result. A sensible maintenance plan starts with your experience, rather than a promise of a fixed number of months.
JayWhite · Client information guide

Avoid treating a timeframe as a guarantee
Whitening is not permanent. The NHS explains that the length of the effect varies and habits can influence it. That general information is not a prediction for a particular JayWhite treatment or your individual smile.
Keep a useful record
Save the date, package name and care instructions from your visit. If you take photographs for your own reference, use a consistent setting and avoid beauty filters. Record any questions you have between visits rather than repeatedly checking under different lights.
Review before repeating
A slight change in appearance does not automatically mean you should buy another whitening session. Ask whether a review, a dental check-up or a discussion about daily care is the best next step. Let the team know about any home products you have used.
Budget for a conversation, not an automatic subscription
JayWhite’s returning-client Touch-up is listed separately from first-visit packages. Read what it includes and discuss suitability before choosing it. You do not need to commit to a recurring whitening timetable to book an initial treatment.
