Sensitivity, fillings and crowns: what to ask before whitening
Your teeth and previous dental work matter more than a package name. Use the consultation to explain your history, and seek a dentist’s assessment for dental concerns.
JayWhite · Client information guide

Talk about sensitivity first
Whitening can cause sensitivity and irritation. Existing pain should be discussed with a dentist before whitening. Tell the team about discomfort, previous reactions and products you have already used.
Mention crowns, veneers and fillings
Whitening does not change the colour of crowns, veneers or tooth-coloured fillings. A dentist can advise on possible colour differences and suitable options.
Bring specific questions
Write down what you want to understand: which teeth concern you, whether you have whitened before, what happened last time and what outcome you hope for. You can ask what would lead the team to recommend delaying treatment, and who should assess a concern first. Clear questions make the conversation more useful than asking for the whitest possible result.
Choose after the conversation
There is no need to select the largest package before discussing suitability. Ask about a consultation and use our Triple and Premium comparison to understand the booking options. A cosmetic consultation does not replace a dental examination or diagnosis.
