Before you book
One tooth looks darker: should you book whitening?
If one tooth looks different from its neighbours, do not assume it is simply the same staining as the rest of your smile.

Get the cause assessed
Injury and previous dental treatment can affect a tooth’s colour. A dentist can investigate an isolated change and explain whether whitening or another approach is appropriate. A general cosmetic package cannot establish why a particular tooth has darkened.
Prepare a short timeline
Write down when you noticed the difference, any previous knocks to the mouth and treatment you remember on that tooth. Mention pain or other changes as well. You do not need to decide what the cause is before making the dental appointment.
Avoid matching a strangers result
An online case may look similar while involving a completely different issue. Do not purchase a stronger home product or repeatedly target one area to imitate a photograph. Take the photo as a question to discuss, not a treatment plan.
Come back to cosmetic planning afterwards
Once your dentist has explained the situation, you can decide whether a wider smile-whitening conversation makes sense. Let the JayWhite team know what has been assessed and ask how it affects expectations before paying a deposit.
