Protecting enamel while caring for your smile
A cosmetic colour change does not replace protecting the structure of your teeth. If you are concerned about wear, ask your dentist to assess it before choosing whitening.
JayWhite · Client information guide

Understand what erosion means
Acids can dissolve tooth structure, causing erosion. Repeated acid exposure can contribute to wear, sensitivity and changes in appearance. Lost tooth structure is not restored by a whitening treatment; a dentist can assess the cause and management.
Discuss your whole routine
Mention drinks you sip over long periods and any reflux or frequent vomiting. You do not need to decide which habit is responsible. A clear description gives your clinician a better starting point than asking for a product that claims to “repair everything”.
Be specific about product claims
Bring the label if a toothpaste, serum or booster promises enamel benefits. Ask what that claim means and whether the product suits your situation. Do not interpret a cosmetic label as proof that damaged tooth structure will grow back.
Keep the two goals separate
Ask first what protects your teeth, then whether whitening is appropriate. Our guide to acidic drinks helps you prepare a habit review, while the treatment comparison explains JayWhite’s cosmetic options without promising structural repair.
